Lake Wendouree Adventure Playground
Children will have a great time exploring all this enormous playground has to offer!
The playground is built completely from wood and has so much fun equipment, including slides, multiple kinds of swings (a wheelchair access swing as well), monkey bars, forts, climbing structures, steering wheels, tunnels, and much more.
The Lake Wendouree Adventure Playground is a very large play area and is densely filled with play equipment.
Please be aware that there is no fence around the play area, and due to the density and popularity of the playground for children of all ages, toddlers and small children could easily get lost.
To ensure the safety of small children, maintain supervision at all times.
Visitor facilities at Lake Wendouree Adventure Playground

There are lovely walking tracks around the lake as well as throughout the beautiful Botanical Gardens.
Feeding the ducks and swans
Ducks, swans, and several other species of water birds call Lake Wendouree home, making this a great place for birdwatching or to take children to feed the ducks.
Please note that feeding ducks bread is detrimental to their health, try some of these more appropriate alternatives:
- Corn (canned, frozen or fresh)
- Duck pellets (sold online and at pet stores)
- Lettuce, other greens (torn into small pieces)
- Frozen peas (defrosted)
- Oats (rolled or instant)
- Seeds (including birdseed or other varieties)
